The Chancellor’s Dinner
More than 200 distinguished guests joined the Chancellor HRH The Earl of Wessex and the Vice-Chancellor at the magnificent Assembly Rooms in Bath on Monday 3 July.
Our biggest ever Chancellor’s Dinner, the evening was a perfect opportunity to reflect on a remarkable 50th anniversary year with alumni, friends and partners.
Before dinner, guests had the opportunity to discover more about our research including: how police interview techniques are failing people with autism; how we can create sustainable shelters for refugees and how therapy dogs are bringing joy to people with Alzheimer’s.
Some of our entrepreneurial graduates were also on hand, including the founders of pioneering software company Backslash Build, a trike delivery service, Podshare and the innovative Pushme, which turns bikes electric!
Later in the evening, guests enjoyed a short film about our 50th year and heard how the university had celebrated throughout the year with thousands of people at conferences, sporting events, exhibitions, reunions and a free community festival.
