Risky Business: Society of Risk Analysis Europe Meeting
On 20-22nd July 2016, the Society of Risk Analysis Europe meeting chose Bath to host its 25th annual conference. It was an excellent way to kick off our 50th anniversary events programme.
The event, organised by our Department of Psychology and Institute of Policy Research, attracted 180 participants from around the world including USA , Australia and Asia. Delegates discussed the latest work in risk analysis, looking at topics such as the role of trust for organisations, risk policy and regulation, and decision-making and uncertainty. Areas covered were as diverse as nuclear energy, security, food, health and climate.
Throughout the conference, which included over 40 sessions, a number of posters created by delegates were also on display in the atrium. With four excellent key note speakers and a dinner at the Roman Baths, this was certainly a highlight in the risk research community social event calendar and a great start to our 50th year.
” I would like to thank both of you for the great conference in Bath. I have received only very positive feedback. We all enjoyed your hospitality, excellent key-notes, good talks and an outstanding conference dinner.”
