The ECPR Standing Group on Organised Crime will be hosting its second general conference on 7-8 July.

This year’s theme is Organised Crime Today: Criminal networks, routes and partnerships. Panel sessions and plenaries will cover a number of topics including organised crime, mafia, drug trafficking, researching organised crime and organised crime activities. The conference will also include a photo exhibition, film viewing and social evening.

Keynote speakers:

  • Dr Annette Idler, Director of Studies at the Changing Character of War Programme, University of Oxford
  • Parosha Chandran, Human Rights Barrister at 1 Pump Court, and leading anti-slavery lawyer

Roundtables:

  • Grey areas in environmental crimes: Bringing the debate forward
  • Tackling modern slavery from different angles: Research and practice
