Integrated Design @ 50: Building our Future

Marking the 50th anniversary of integrated design at the University of Bath, this international conference will focus on building our future through a more integrated approach to architecture, engineering and construction.
Our Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering has a unique character as the only such interdisciplinary department in the UK. We were founded in the 1960s on a philosophy of integrated design.
Participants will have the opportunity to debate developments in integrated design, be they retrospective, topical or future looking.
The event will cover a wide range of topics including:
- Building performance and management
- Integrated project delivery (IPD)
- Integrating technologies (ICTs and BIMs) and mediated intelligence
- Sustainability and resilience of our built environment
- Retrofitting historic and heritage buildings
- Universal design
